Weawow weather app has the best user interface of any weather app I’ve used. It’s free, but a one-time donation will unlock premium features. It’s totally usable with the free version though. I donated $2 so I could change the provider to AccuWeather, and that one was a premium feature.
If the already excellent notes app isn’t good enough for you, go ahead and download Obsidian!
Besides my must have for any of my phones, like WhatsApp, Messenger (to stay in touch with commoners… I mean Android users😁), Reddit and banking app, I - for my first ride with this noble Apple product - decided to try max out all the built in apps, like Mail, calendar, health, fitness, cloud, office apps, shortcuts etc. and install third party only if I really see no other option.
After almost a year I steel don’t feel the need for third party apps. I’ve installed something for better workout tracking, for budget planning, free streaming apps like Netflix or Prime Video, Google Maps (I like Maps from Apple, but I live in Poland and here it isn’t that accurate as in the US, Google did better job here), and Google Calendar (it saddens me, how poor Calendar form Apple is, when it comes to overview the week or month - if there is an event, it puts a blue dot and that’s all. No matter if there are two, three or just one - to get a blue dot - go, figure out what’s planned for that day. In contrast, Google Calendar gives you month overview with all planned events shown, customized with colors, so it’s easier to block out days off, see a doctor appointment or some important work event).
That’s practically all that I’m happy with.
Got more space for games
vpn and adblock for safari, come quite handy when you need it
You can use Apple TV, Music, and Arcade for free for three months, if I am not mistaken, and then choose the Apple One plan for your family.
I’ve been using Spark Email for several years and they have some extra features available for subscription but I use the base version, and it works really well for someone with multiple email addresses like myself.
Musi is a great app to play YouTube music in the background without having YT Premium, they have an optional one time in-app purchase to remove ads which I think is quite worth it.
ParcelTrack is an app to put your packages’ tracking numbers all in one place and they can be from different couriers too.
Not a must app but if you are an entertainment person, then use Sequel. It helps you track your Movies, TV Shows, Books and Games
A new iPhone comes with 3 months free Apple Arcade. Stardew Valley+ and literally nothing else. You’re good to go.
Black magic camera app it’s free and u can do a lot of stuff with it
Aloha browser to download videos
Wipr (adblock) it’s paid but no sub
Hi. Apart from the apps of the websites for shopping, media(Netflix, Amazon Prime, Mubi, Youtube, Youtube Music etc. ), social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit) that I would be using on my pc; I would recommend sticking to the pre-insalled IOS-integrated apps. (Photos, maps, Notes etc. ) Just a few additional recommendations would be: Kaspersky VPN, RealVNC app to connnet to pc, IMDB, Steam, Steam Link, iHandy Level, Goodreads, Citymapper, Tripadvisor, Shazam.
MaiMovie, JustWatch, Noir, OutPlayer, Snapseed, Infuse (subscription based but cheap), Adguard, a password manager like Bitwarden or Dashlane
With all of the data privacy issues on these apps, I have gone the opposite way of most people at this point. I don’t install anything I don’t specifically need/want. The less spyware on my phone the better.
Light room for photos
Microsoft rewards/bing
Be my eyes
Everyone should have this app. Helps blind folks out
Def use google maps vs Apple Maps. It’s a must!
Swiftkey or gboard. Default iPhone keyboard is a tragedy.
Spark Mail - default one sucks.
Google Calendar - default one useless.
Calculator With History + - very useful, default one - unbearable.
Bitwarden - way better than 1password +free.
