Any must get apps for a new iPhone owner?

Ive read thousand threads of these “what are must apps” and i read all the apps and came to the conclusion “No, there are no must apps”.

You dont need to install or subscribe to any single app.

What you can do, is of course highly individual, like your banking app or whatever entertainment you want.

FlowNote is a great app. It is a notes app that offers page nesting and task scheduling. Great for productivity!

I found this app but i can’t see it on iphone, has anyone else come across it ? https://youtu.be/VkYOmoOvjJ4

Nearby. List of crime, sex offenders and risk levels. Better to know what’s going on around you even though it’s scary

DoorPal. For someone like me who lives in appartement, DoorPal has been really a blessing. It lets you create virtual doorbell that people can ring to reach you if they are in proximity of home. Unlike other doorbell apps which are not location locked, this app focuses on privacy and convenience.

If you’re into music and want to explore creating remixes & mashups with ease, check out Hook music. Also a great tool to use for music edits on socials

I am currently using an app called Elephas on my Mac, and it’s pretty awesome. They also have an iPhone app, although I haven’t been able to try the iPhone version yet. However, the Mac app is solid.

If you’re looking for essential apps, I recommend checking out “Scam Detector.” It’s a very useful app for anyone wanting to stay safe online. Scam Detector helps identify and understand potential scams, whether it’s a suspicious email, text message, or website. The app provides detailed explanations and real-time updates on the latest scamsScam Detector

I’d go through settings and turn off things like background app refresh if you want more battery.

Honestly I’ve been ok iOS that long now the stock stuff is fine and works without issue across all Apple platforms, not had any reason to change anything

If you have a lot of audiobooks in mp3 format, like from your own collection, Bound is the best audiobook app out there. You can download straight from the cloud and play them in one app. Otherwise you have to use fucking iTunes (you know, that app from the 90s) and it still never works half the time. Bound costs a few bucks but it’s been worth every penny so far.

Only you know what’s useful to you. For example, apps at restaurants you dine at frequently, financial institutions you bank or have a credit card with, merchants you shop with, stuff like that.

Edison Mail, TickTick, AutoSleep, Pedometer, Stats.fm

Overcast for podcasts. Way better IMHO than the stock podcast app.

just in case you feel a little nervous, the default apps aren’t crucial for anything. apps like home, apple music… garage band, i’ve uninstalled pretty much all of them. wait until you’re more comfortable before you uninstall anything in case you personally would like them, but if you feel like they’re taking up space, you can always just reinstall them easy-peasy. sorry if this seems silly, i just know i was anxious when i first got my iphone lmao

Same apps than those thousands others who has asked this same question.

Bing. just get it and set it for default browser

I got rid of Apple Maps, mail, and safari and switched when to their Google equivalent. Apples mail app is hot garbage.

My must have apps are

ChatGPT, Google keep, WaterMinder, Google fit, MySwimPro, lose it, Lightroom, notion.

And some other regular social media, streaming apps.

Inshot is my favorite video editing app. It’s subscription based but has a one-time purchase option which I think is worth it.
