Which upload speed i can achieve with ProtonVPN P2P servers these weeks, months?

Hi,

when You do speed test (https://librespeed.org/ or https://www.speedtest.net/ or just the bandwidth average you are often seeing on your end), which mbit or MB/s upload speed i can long term achieve on P2P servers these weeks or months roughly average? (please mention the value only if your internet connectivity has significantly higher capacity than the result of the speed test)

I want to know what to expect. If it is worth. Also regarding latency, how many ms?

Btw, do you have to switch servers often to maintain good speed? I would be using Wireguard likely. Thank you

Got pretty much everytime 20-30MBps (on 10Gbps DL / 1Gbps UP link) on CH (PortForwarding) servers. Note that ProtonVPN does not officially support Port forwarding for anything else than the Windows client.

Could you enlighten me how are p2p servers different from the other servers and the use case for them?

Depends on the clients who connect and the hops in between you and them :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: My last test was 870Mbps/500Mbps But in the real world its average only 50Mbps.

“introducing support for Moderate NAT (network address translation)”

“Faster BitTorrent support with port forwarding”

roadmap 2022

At How to torrent safely with a VPN | Proton VPN they say “these are optimized for BitTorrent network traffic … P2P servers (and the countries that support them) are clearly marked with a double-arrow icon.”

My note still applies.
