Where can I talk to japanese speakers online? I don’t have a phone so no apps. Where can i meet people to talk to?
My personal favorite way is to download a vpn and play online games with people from Japan. The ping is garbage but 90% of the time voice chats work very well.
VR chat. Despite the name you do not need VR. There are worlds for general discussion and learning.
The Hello Talk app is nice. I’ve had a hard time finding anyone who wants to speak consistently tho. Maybe it’s just me

Gaming overall but especially MMOs and in VR. Games like VRCHAT (it does not require VR Hardware) and others with social hubs.
They are super friendly and always so surprised when you are able to have even a basic conversation in Japanese.
Just get ready to utterly destroy your sleeping schedule depending on where you live.

Just a heads up, Japanese people often stay in different kinds of worlds because they get trolled for being Japanese/speaking in anime… some worlds even have quick “tests” to pass / answer some basic questions in Japanese to prevent non-Japanese from passing
