All of my VPNS (different ones) have suddenly stopped working on both my WiFi and mobile phone network. Has anyone else had this happen?
Only issue I have had was the most recent update of NordVPN for Linux was broken and I had to roll back to the old version.
Their tech support was aware of the problem, but I haven’t tried updating since then (about a week ago).
Just verified NordVPN is working fine on Windows, Android and Linux.
Using Proton with no issues.
just tried Opera browser with built in vpn - initially flashed vpn not available, but quickly changed to vpn available, but VERY slow (even more so than usual )
Yep, using a free one for Chrome and it won’t work since yesterday
Been using Opera’s free VPN for yonks until last week when it forced me to buy or subscribe to a VPN, any VPN, but the free Opera version is no longer available (to me)
My VPN incorporated into my security suite stopped working or was very slow starting 2 days ago. But I have a separate stand-alone VPN that is working fine.
Are you using VPNs from inside of Thailand?
I have opposite problem. My VPNs that have servers in Thailand either stopped working or became unbearably slow.
I used Surfshark on a recent visit to Thailand worked ok
I don’t know if it’s related, but at least since friday evening (when I landed) and up to 3 hours ago there were some serious issues with IP traffic from Thailand to northern Europe. It looks like the local IX here in Bangkok was the bottleneck of this. I was routinely seeing 30-50% packetloss via both dtac and AIS on 4G/5G, as well on local fibre in Bangkok when trying to reach locations served by multiple carriers in the Nordics. Also seeing latency fluctuating around 450-550ms, which is 150ms too much.
I got around this by VPNing down to Singpore and then going to Europe from there.
Oh boy, another one who subscribes to the “vpn=security” marketing.
is proton free or paid?
VPN = being able to stream content not available in Thailand
I think they just want to watch porn…
Paid - Pricing | Proton VPN
There’s va free version of Proton, but it only gives you Japan, USA & Holland servers.
yeah i only use a vpn for accessing sites that arte blocked in thailand - i’ve never actually heard of this “vpn=security” marketing mentioned above.
or other out of market programming
