You’d be better off arguing with Rangers fans on who is the 2nd best young D man: Fox or Hughes. We can talk about Hughes vs Makar again if Hughes ever closes the gap on goals/pts and grabs a Conn Smythe in process. Until then, you and your fellow Canuckleheads sound ignorant af.
I said dude is getting better and will be in the conversation for Norris for years to come. Easy for Colorado fan to talk high and mighty about Cale when he gets dropped in on the right team, gets a Cup, Norris and the consmyth. Right somehow I’m ignorant in all this.
Don’t forget the Calder! Makar doubled up Hughes in first place votes on that too! btw, it had been almost 10 years since the Avs won a series in the playoffs before Makar showed up……it’s not like they were a powerhouse at that point.
Mack rantanen, landeskog? You easily have the best first line in the league when healthy.
Funny now that Quinn has won the Norris everyone is turning their cheek on him. Coming out of the woods and admitting they didn’t think Quinn was worthy of anything. Give it time and Quinn is going to have his name on everything in the NHL.
Maybe now….but not in 2017!
Cale didn’t play his first nhl game till 2019. Avalanche was stacked to the tits with talent and still is. I don’t know how they don’t do better than they are.
And it was the first time that the Avs won a playoff series with any of those guys….Makar was the missing link
I mean you ain’t completely wrong. Avs were the fastest team that year by far, and absolutely dominated the flames. The games I watched, and it came down to basically every player on the avs skating harder and faster. Makar definitely helped, but he really only put up 6 points in 2 series. He wasn’t the one that made the avs. You have to credit mack for that.
