Official link for FortiClient VPN offline installer?

Hi all,

I’m trying to make a “cask” for the free FortiClient VPN app (and I already did for the full FortiClient software), see here: https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-cask

Thing is I cannot find official download link for the latest macOS version of FortiClient VPN offline installer. The latest I could find is https://filestore.fortinet.com/forticlient/downloads/FortiClientVPNSetup_6.2.6.737_macosx.dmg but substituting the newest version 6.4.2.1305 in gets me a 404. The online installer downloads a dmg upon start so it must be from somewhere.

I don’t have a subscription so I can’t use the support site. Can anyone kindly link me too the file?

Download the online installer.

Initiate the installation. Wait until it asks you to proceed with the installation. Before clicking Next…

Open %Temp% from start > Run

Copy FortiClientVPN.exe from temp files.

This is the offline version… Close the installer by clicking Cancel.

The offline Free Forticlient installs are at the middle of the official download link:

If you don’t have a support account and can’t direct download it, the online installer should probably cache a copy of the full install package locally (at least it does with Windows). So you may have some luck there.

Just a note 6.4 not working properly on 10.15 think it may be the same for 10.14 and lower you need 6.2.

6.2 not working properly on bigsur causes the is to do some wired crashy shit from Tom to time 6.4 works.

Latest version as of February of 2022 has Mac and Windows clients.

I already got a copy of the installer this way but still thanks. The point of a “cask” is you can install an app with one command and without any operations in the GUI, so I still need a direct link.

Thanks for the heads up. I can code some logic in the cask file to make it download 6.2 on 10.15 and older.
