Looking for VPN recommendations

Preferably something that is GUI based, either via appimage or qomui from the repo. Would like non-US, no-logs, that is fast and reliable. Most of the VPN’s I’ve looked at either provide deb/rpm apps only, or are based in the US or another 14 eyes country. I think I’m running into my ISP throttling streaming services.

I’ve been using mullvad for a while and I think they’re great! They support Wireguard which is a huge +1 for me. Their client is also open source and built with Rust which I love.

I’ve recently packaged it for Solus and am awaiting it’s inclusion to the repo. You can find my patch here, which if you’re comfortable, you can clone and build with solbuild.

The only I can recommend is ProtonVPN. But it only has a CLI. But honestly, all you need is one simple command to connect and am as simple command to disconnect, it’s really easy.

Nord and ExpressVPN are great for streaming services.

No gui, but protonvpn works well. So does windscribe, but you have to install it “the bad way” - unzip the rpm and copy the files to the proper system directories

I have no issues using the terminal, just thinking of my other half… Maybe it’s something I could just write a script for…

I have an old xerox printer I have to do that for as well… Thanks for the suggestion!

Happy to help out. One thing worth noting is that Windscribe is based in Canada iirc. Most VPNs are pretty similar under the hood though, so you could probably use the same method

Thank you! Setting it up through network manager might be a great workaround that I hadn’t thought of.
