Lifetime subscription expired - another casualty

Hi,

I purchased a lifetime subscription from XDA Developer Depot on Feb. 10, 2017. However, today I could not access PureVPN anymore because it has expired. Based on some other postings here, I think I am part of the casualties caused by this kind of offer. I guess it is no use to contact XDA / StackCommerce, because they will just offer a replacement, which I am not interested in. I have been enjoying PureVPN and would like to stay with it.

I would like to ask for your assistance on this matter, so that the LIFETIME offer can stick to its name. Thank you in advance.

It’s caused by StackCommerce (or whomever is behind that branding and others). They’re the operation collaborating with a bunch of web sites and are selling the subscription.

Clearly we don’t know the detail of the contractual or other business arrangements with PureVPN, but it’s having an effect on the PureVPN brand when these 5-year subscriptions expire and StackCommerce then waves some other provider’s offering under our noses.

Here’s hoping the PureVPN support can help you sort it, as they’ve helped a few of us.

In the same boat to the T. XDA developers, Feb 10 end of a “lifetime” subscription.

I’ve reached out to purevpn by their site’s chat, support ticket, and Reddit DM. No response yet but keeping my fingers crossed…

Thanks for reaching out! I am sorry for the trouble that you’re facing. However, I would like to assure you that there is no need to worry. We would be happy to help you and escalate your issue with StackSocial on your behalf. Could you please share your email address with me via chat? I’ll keep you posted with the updates there.

Same here. Suddenly was expired and I was bragging that I had a lifetime VPN. If this is not resolved, no more PureVPN and I will no longer recommend it to my friend and circle.

I am also experiencing the same issue unfortunately. I bought lifetime subscription to PureVPN back on February 11th, 2017 from XDA Depot. Unfortunately, over the past few days I am not able to use it anymore as it requires renewal. This is wrong, really wrong. Lifetime should be lifetime. I am shocked now knowing that PureVPN actually treats that licence as 5 years membership, instead of lifetime.

I even raised a ticket (#1838038), but nothing has been done. I was only suggested to contact StackCommerce website (I didnt even hear of that website, and do not know how is it related to this issue in first place), and that was it.

I am not able to use VPN, and I need it in a daily basis. I bought PureVPN product and I expect that PureVPN team handle this issue in a appropriate way and in timely manner.

I would greatly appreciate assistance regarding this matter.

I just to update my status. After going back and forth with StackCommerce, finally my subscription is restored for another 5 year. After that period, then I can contact them again for another renewal.

Thank you PureVPN and StackCommerce for working this out.

I am having the same problem. Can someone help me out?

Thanks for reaching out! We would be happy to help you and have escalated your issue with StackSocial on your behalf. I’ll keep you posted with the updates via chat!

Hey u/adbaz2022, I am sorry for the trouble you are facing, We would be happy to help you out and escalate the issue with StackSocial on your behalf! Could you please share your email address with me via chat?

Hey u/Zozonijada, we are sorry for the trouble that you are facing. As StackSocial is the terms and condition maker of this particular subscription, we, the mediators in this process, could you please send me your email address on chat so I can have your case escalated with StackSocial to renew the subscription on our request as per the original deal/contract.

Have sent you my email address. And why StackSocial ia the one who need to sort this trouble? This was misleading sale. I would expect no less than the lifetime access or refund. Other then that i will seek legal way to address this.

I’ve also contacted you about ended lifetime subscription.

Heya,

Just to let you know that I have provided you in the chat information that you requested. Thanks for looking into it.

I will be awaiting your response.

Best regards,

I have received your message and will keep you updated there! As StackSocial is the terms and condition maker of this particular subscription they will be the one authorizing the renewal.

So they offer another VPN provider (that actually sell a lifetime subscription on their website). PureVPN don’t want to keep customer like us is it?

Hey, we are sorry for the trouble that you are facing. As StackSocial is the terms and condition maker of this particular subscription, we, the mediators in this process, have escalated your case with StackSocial to renew the subscription on our request as per the original deal/contract. We understand that the current method of renewals isn’t the best possible way, but we are trying to work with StackSocial to create a much-streamlined process.

We highly appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter, and will keep you updated via chat!
