I haven’t searched for a new VPN to use since I found torguard 5 years ago. Since then I’ve been subscribed to it monthly (sometimes quarterly) on and off. Anyway I was wondering if there’s a better VPN out there that I’m missing out on? I only use it for torrenting, but 10 dollars a month seems kinda high when it used to be 5 dollars a a month a few years ago. I know I would save more by paying quarterly ($19.99), semi-annually ($29.99), and annually ($59.99), but I would like to know if there are better priced (or better overall) VPNs that I should look at.

They do a “deal” a few times a year where you can get a lifetime 50% discount. $30/year is a win for me.
I’ve got Nord, TorGuard and Mullvad, all rated well for torrent speeds. Price isn’t directly one of my criteria, so I won’t be able to point you toward any good deals. Mullvad has one standard price per month with no tiers. They encourage you to pay anonymously and don’t know your email. I like Mullvad’s port-forwarding better than TorGuard’s, but you don’t get to choose your own random port. Good software IMHO for all three VPNs. Not sure I like the way Nord does business. Mullvad seems like the keeper.
TorGuard is still VERY solid, here’s why.
-8 simul connections is rly good for the price ($5 a month or $30 year with code “Netflix”)
-wireguard speeds are insane for torrenting
-has app extensions, firestick support, router support, android tv etc etc
-rly good support + forum community
-new app UI freshens things up a bit which is good imo
-passed my privacy audit (no logs, passes blacklight test, no android / website trackers, no data leaks, etc)
My only cons with TorGuard are these:
-a bit surpassed by newer VPNs like WeVPN (in terms of streaming) that offer streaming compatibility built in for cheaper than TG’s streaming bundle (also a bit easier to use with their DNS solutions on consoles etc). code “tomspark” gives 10% off that
-sometimes managing the passwords and website can be a bit clunky. some newer VPNs like WeVPN do it a bit better imo.
I decided to go with Mullvad since they aren’t based in US and seem to be a bit more concerned about privacy and for $5.50 a month it’s kind of a no brainer to me. Thanks again for the help!
Maybe try Mullvad, VPN.AC they are good for torrents.
I love TorGuard, though I am unsure if it is better than any others since i haven’t really used anything else for the past 5+ years. I got onto the 50% discount/year so it’s only $30/year so I would recommend waiting for that deal. It happens regularly.
I’m sure other providers have this feature, but TorGuard has an app-kill feature that will terminate an app if you lose your connection, and it can turn off your internet adapter if you aren’t connected (logged in) to a server.
It’s ~$25/year (find the coupon). So, yeah.
But, more importantly, you can pay with some slightly anonymous method (crypto, gift cards, etc.) and expect to get good protection if you’re torrenting media and giving back 20% extra to the torrenting community, in uploads.
They don’t keep logs. But, yes, I do think that if the feds wanted to: they could shut these guys down or investigate payment methods to track someone down. More importantly, I don’t think they’re after pirates as much as they’re after the sick people who peddle other vile hurting content that shall go unnamed.
its 60% off right now for black friday deals https://torguard.net/bitcoin\_black\_friday.php?mc\_cid=3f6d13dfd9&mc\_eid=34f1796e36
I’ve been with Torguard for years but they’ve got so many damn glitches and bugs and seem unwilling to deal with them. It’s uncomfortable where security is concerned.

You can setup a recurring charge but the rate’s the same.
You can *either* set up a recurring charge or do port-forwarding. Anonymity gets screwed if you do both, Mullvad says.
you can manually set your user agent when scripting.
you can set up proxies to query gcloud
you can set up on boot openvpn and to disable network if VPN goes down.
The Pro 3 year deal is a steal, unfortunately discount code does not work. But for $90 you get 10G servers and free dedicated (static) IP.
Bit late but the majority of TorGuard servers don’t let you use torrents on them, atleast all the ones in the US dont
Is Mullvad good for streaming? I read somewhere that it does not allow you to access Netflix or Prime Movies??? Last, stupid question what is Port Forwarding??? Thank You, Gentlemen, I am not tech-savvy and I appreciate all the assistance rendered.
I have never have had any problems with there software - what issues do you have?
Damn, that nigga straight shilling 24/7
