Title. It was working up until yesterday night. Today it cannot connect to any server.
If have nord vpn and avira avira vpn they was not connecting from yesterday today both vpns are connecting
try using the OpenVPN UDP protocol, go to your settings and change it there. It would either be set to auto or NordLynx
Same. Use proton VPN It’s quite fast.
Try using different protocols, tcp or stealth etc

It’s working again for now. I suspect it will be blocked again since they have unblocked everything including Twitter/X for now
No…world is advanced then pakistan…other ways to bypass censorship is already invented.
They unblock Twitter for few hours and then block it again. Just playing with it. They have tried their best to tackle VPNs
Why they are blocking Twitter? I meant they used to block all the social platform in the past, but now they are just blocking twitter. What is the reason behind it?
Twitter serves as a platform for free speech, where international politicians and journalists are notably more engaged compared to other social media. Since governments are unable to control or remove content from Twitter just because they don’t like it so they choose to block the platform entirely.
I see, I am still unable to understand how they are managed to block VPN? I meant aren’t VPN are designed for this purpose?
Still stuck on this one for 2 days. How the hell they manage to block VPNs. I think they did block VPNs using the same technology e.f OpenVPN which ended up banning all vpn applications using openvpn. Just a guess
It’s called Deep Packet Inspection. Detects the signature of the packet being sent and blocked certain patterns.
I see, let’s see how it goes. I hope we get new solution / proper workaround to counter this issue.
There won’t be a solution if they start force implementing DPI. Well not at wide scale as is now that everyone knows Proton VPN.
How you can be sured that by forcing implementing DPI they able to stop? I meant Pakistan authorities doesn’t have level of competency to go that level to stop websites from access by population. We have China which have heavy Internet sensored internet but still few part of population manage to access foreign block sites. So if China have not be able to completely sensored internet then I don’t see how Pakistan PTA authorities able to achieve this.
That’s my point. The idea is to make it difficult for masses to use VPNs or circumvent anything like that. Also, you’re underestimating the authority. They just have to spend money and buy the most high tech and sophisticated system ( so many colonies selling these solutions) and they’ll be able to reduce it by 80-90 % Example, Iran, China, some SA countries etc
How the authority will be able to buy high tech and sophisticated system since we don’t have money. I don’t think IMF will provide money to buy monitoring technology so that they can block the VPN. Also, I believe there might be open source solution which are not for sale for them what they can do? I agreed with your point that their aim is to make the process of accessing blocked platform difficult so that masses give up.
Take a hint mate, they already have it and it’s being used now.
