I dont know if its safe, but what I do know is that mullvad vpn is so good that they literally got raided by police and the police ended up getting nothing.

If you are not using the VPN you’ve created yourself then most probably you are compromised but yea you are safe (if u don’t go into deep n dark web ) stay safe.
And for any simple tasks using normal internet u are as safe as u can be
