hey all, so i play out of australia, and for some weird reason, for 2 games today, i was put on the west coast NA servers. Yes my ping was like 150 but hearing different voices/accents was quite refreshing and i actually enjoyed it.
it lasted 2 games and i was back on aussie servers.
my question is, is there a way (without having to fork out any money) to force play out of other servers around the world?
I think the word is ‘geofencing’ but i’ve seen these are dedicated routers, any way to do it using an app on the pc?
also, i tried with nordvpn, just connecting to LA servers, ping looked fine but in game i connected to asian servers and sometimes back to australian servers with 999 ping.
can anyone help?
As far as I’m aware a VPN is the closest you can get without risking a ban. Hell, I don’t even know if that’s technically allowed. But regardless, your ping will likely be atrocious so I’m sure your ranked teammates will be less than appreciative.
i tried using nordvpn, but i get routed back to aussies servers and ping is literally 999
when i was on the NA servers, i was getting 150 ms but i was frying everyone
Tried NordVPN today and it works like shit.
I’m in Europe and want to connect to Australia or USA depending on time of day. But it just doesn’t work. No games found or error saying that it can’t connect to days servers. But Kenya I can play through, with hundreds of ms in ping. But that doesn’t really help since they are intr the same time zone anyway.
Anyone tried Sbmmoff VPN? Right now $50 for a lifetime license.
