Finished watching and now the app is in Korean?

Hi, everyone. I know Roku has a thing for installing apps without anyone’s permission which leads me to think: “maybe this is not as private as I think”, but I was just watching an episode of What If and, surprise: Disney+ is now in Korean. Is this another security flaw or just someone hacking into my account? We’ll find out…

Check My Devices and remove any unknown devices from your account, then immediately change the password…or you’re using a VPN and the app detects it.

This UI doesn’t even look like a Roku UI?

None of the above. No unrecognized devices and no VPN, just Roku since I don’t use the account in other devices. Oh and today the Netflix app was replaced by some other unknown app and it wasn’t me. Talked to D+ helpline and said they can’t tell me who’s connected to my account and only I can see it through the MyDevices tab. Guess where my suspicions stand?

That’s the Disney+ app.

In that case I would remove ALL devices from your account and change the password, then add known devices back to your account.

To add, Roku has never added a third party app without my permission.

If no other app has the issue, then you should try to watch Disney+ on another platform if it’s Disney+ issue. The apps control majorly of settings within app behavior

You’d be surprised: reddit is full of threads about the same issue and apparently Roku has not been made aware of it. I also checked other devices connected and besides my two devices at home, there were no issues with my account. Of course I switched passwords, but there are still apps coming and going
