I may subscribe to Youtube TV but was wondering if it currently carries NBC Sports Bay Area? Reading back through this subreddit it looks like it does or did until some point. Not sure of the current status. What plan is it part of on youtube tv? Basic plan or is it an add-on (if available)? Thanks.
Yes it’s included in the basic plan. No MLB TV though which is unfortunate.
YouTubeTV has regional sports if you’re in the broadcast market, if you can get it on xfinity or spectrum where you live then YouTubeTV will have it. It will not have it out of market, for out of market you have mlb.tv.
YouTubeTV operates much like cable tv.
I just found a service called Uzzu.tv and it gives you access to all sports no black outs. $125 for the year
I currently have it, in Gilroy it lets you pick either (bay area) or (Santa Cruz) and I picked “bay area” so I can watch sharks and giants games.
When I try and watch from my phone, it has to your my GPS location on the phone and won’t let me watch any NBC sports bay area channels.
So basically, I never watch it on my phone.
Literally, I’m only play $72.99 to watch local sports, I have no interest in mainstream TV.
i think if you aren’t local and you want to watch the giants, you might want to just get an mlb tv single team subscription - 130 bucks for the full season according to their site.
Yes. Hulu live TV is slightly cheaper though
Only if you live in the Bay Area.
Wonder if when I sign up I can use a Bay Area zip code? Not sure it’ll let me or if it’ll default to my billing address when/if I get to that point.
I have YouTube tv… love it… tho we live in SoCal so I have mlb.tv to watch games, and vpn when they play the doyers
If you live in the Bay Area, buy Hulu live tv, cheaper and has the giants. YouTube tv also has it. If you live outside the giants blackout area, buy mlb.tv
It gives you access to almost every giants game and is WAY cheaper than Hulu or YouTube tv
Or you know pirate or whatever
The fact that there’s a post about this every other day shows manfred is really making it easy to consume this sport… fuck.
If I watch a game through mlb.tv is it Kruk and Kuip or whoever is calling the game as if it were nbc sports Bay Area?
Any new info on this? I currently have Xfinity cable TV and Comcast recently moved NBCSBA and NBCSCA to the “Unlimited+ Package”, forcing those who want to watch Kings and Giants to upgrade their plan. I’m looking to cut Cable TV and get YoutubeTV. I’m wondering if these channels will stay on the basic YoutubeTV or if they will also move to a higher tier on YoutubeTV.
Thanks. Not too sure how YouTube tv works. Is it included in the basic plan because you’re local (if you are)? We don’t live in California so hoping it’s included in our basic plan. May try it regardless but still wondering.
Wow, I’ll check it out.
Check out Uzzu.tv it’s $125 for the year and you get all sports
I live in NoCal near Chico and get NBCBA and NBCCA (Kings, A’s) on my YouTubeTV on the standard package.
Pretty sure you have to give it access to your location anyways.
If you live in the bay
Yes basic plan if you are local to the Bay Area. If you live outside of this area, you won’t get it.
