AdGuard is a great adblocker but doesn’t block in apps. If you can jailbreak your phone and find a few tweaks to get rid of in apps ads
How about Freedome from F-Secure? I think it blocks ads, too.

Personally I like lockdown. The firewall only is system wide adblocking and doesn’t use a real vpn to some other location to work.
I did! I am using Surfshark, on and off though, it keeps going bust it’s not that stable. at some point all connections will die.
I use it but sometimes it just stops working but someone said it sell information but the risk is yours
