disable your vpn; you don’t need to create a new account as it’s just an ip ban on the vpn you were using
turn on/off vpn or restart router to get new ip address you just have matching ip with existing comment ban and thats the username of guy who got the ban
can happen if you use a vpn
The amount of times people encounter this issue bro. The sub needs a FAQ pinned post or smth
there should be a rule that you have to disable your vpn before posting about bans
Disable your vpn. What is it with Robby and bs ban codes
Disable. Your. VPN. If. You. Use. One.
Error code Jakepaul1000: you have a VPN
this is like the celeste 5c dash refresh of gd
Don’t use a VPN, IP bans exists in this game
guys we talked about this, we only need one or two people answering and we dont need to upvote it to oblivion to make it top post when its a very commonly asked fucking question
Isn’t there already a FAQ for the gd website?
I recently started work on revamping the Rule 3 article since it’s fairly outdated, and because of this post I have remembered to mention comment IP bans
The problem with pins is that in recent years, Reddit has reduced visibility of pinned posts. The current weekly megathread only has 429 views while any post in Hot always has thousands. We could dedicate a post to announcing the article revamp so it appears on people’s feeds, but that wouldn’t last. With the fall of pins, the only viable cross-platform way to get people to read something is by pestering them with AutoModerator comments or modmail. I would also like to add removal reason templates that also answer common questions instead of just yelling about Rule 3, but it might make removing posts overly tedious
Doesn’t stop people from posting it here though. People post, asking for so much exclusively on Reddit, without trying to do any research themselves. A pinned post answering those questions would be ideal
