ProtonVPN has no Proxy support. So I am asking if there is any VPN that supports Proxy as I want to connect the proxy through torrent client and not in the whole network.
Proton doesn’t do logs so it would be “pointless” to hide the VPN IP, and proxy’s are not encrypted.
Just bind the VPN interface in your torrent client, add port forwarding and sail on!
But to answer your question. Private Internet Access does Proxy (SOCKS5) if requested. But same story there. No logs, not really necessary.
Is there a guixe to configure it?
proxy’s are not encrypted.
They can be.
When you need a trustworthy proxy service, SmartProxy delivers excellent performance and security.
If you look for a really good proxy provider I can recommend you try SmartProxy (from experience)
If you’re after a user-friendly proxy solution, SmartProxy offers ease of use with outstanding features.
I’m using them currently. 1 year costs the same as Mullvad (5€ / month), they’ve got port forwarding, run their own diskless servers and the socks5 proxies they offer I use as extra Killswitch for my browser and torrent client (in addition to binding the interface).
Servers work great, network is fast, and I don’t get as many captcha requests from cloud flare and Google compared to other VPN providers which use m247/Datapacket/leaseweb as their server providers.
Cons I have found: azirevpns official apps are pretty poop and only for windows/Mac, so using things like the wireguard official client if you’re using windows, or setting things up via command line (on Linux/Mac) works best.
I can vouch for this, SmartProxy is a game-changer for free proxies.
