VPN on problems on Windows 10 2004?

Have several new computers with fresh installs that can’t connect to Meraki client VPN without tons of hassle. On one computer it shows the warning that the credentials are incorrect the very first time the login prompt appears.

When it doesn’t appear the network VPN window just shows Action Needed under the VPN name. Then sometimes a notification gets added to the Notification Center, “The VPN connection (company vpn) needs your sign-in info. The sign-in info that was provided was wasn’t correct.”

Some times none of this happens and it just sits on connecting. Running rasdial /disconnect seems to reset things but the chance of getting a successful connection is like 1 in 20. If I connect with the old UI, Rasphone.exe it works every time.

This will be interesting - I have had the same issues. 2004 and Meraki client VPN. Didn’t resolve connecting to Meraki VPN issues - spun a Windows server VPN up.

Use Draytek VPN client. It’s amazing!!!

Try this:Try removing Wan Mini port (IP) device in device manager.Windows will reinstall this automatically after a reboot

I personally solved this issue by going back to the previous build.

Came across this yesterday. Exact same scenerio and issues. Is there a better fix than deleting something from device manager?

Thanks I’ll take a look. Can it do start before login with cred pass though like windows?

Thanks I’ll going to try this on the one I’m have the most glitchyness. Unfortunately this is really looking like a windows UI issue. Connecting with command line or other window UIs usually works fine. I don’t understand why Microsoft can’t get the right. It’s Madness. The situation is partially Meraki’s fault Anyconnect might help but if these damn firewalls supported more advanced authentication and VPN featured I could just do always on VPN.

Thank you Rumbles10…I spent WAY too much time removing and reinstalling the VPN in so many ways…then just deleted the WAN Miniports for IP and L2TP and rebooted and it connected right up again.

Not sure. I think so though
