VPN doesn't work anymore, help please

I got surfshark a few months back on my Macbook Pro and everything worked great. Now for the past three weeks nothing really works anymore. As soon as I connect to the VPN, my internet stops working. I thought this was a temporary bug so I tried waiting it out but it didn’t get better. After I tried changing protocols it worked once, but after that one time it now doesn’t even connect to a server anymore. As soon as I choose a server and try to connect, the app kind of freezes and I can’t connect to the internet until I completely disconnect the VPN connection. I tried removing my Antivirus but it also didn’t help. Switching protocols didn’t help. Updating my browser didn’t help. It sucks and I’m getting kind of frustrated

Hi there, thank you for bringing this up. I’m sure this issue can be resolved with just a few simple steps.

First, it is possible that the issue could be caused by some malfunction from the KillSwitch feature. Please try disabling it (if it’s enabled) by going to the Surfshark app → Settings → VPN settings.

In case that does not help, it would also be good to try resetting your network. You can do so by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Surfshark app’s installation folder.
  2. Run the SurfsharkDiagnostics.exe file.
  3. Click “Reset network” and then restart your Mac.

Try a server with a static ip. This worked for me.
