Cant seem find the exact answer. I kinda wanna reduce my ping to play with my friend in US and im from US.
Is vpn actually bannable?
You need a us account, so would have to make a new on once on the vpn.
vpn is not going to change your ping. if you are playing on servers that are not close to you, you will get higher ping. if you want to use a vpn to change your location/which servers should be assigned to you possibly
vpn will 100% not reduce your ping when connecting to US server. I currently play from korea and connect to US west with 145-150 ping and when using a vpn it stays the same

Well i was hoping to atleast reach 170-180ms. I currently have around 250ms
It does when the routing is bad like Mumbai servers. With vpn (Mumbai) I can get 20 ms and without I get like 35ms.
This is actually pretty annoying cos singapore servers give me 40ms ping even though they are about 10x further away from me than Mumbai.

Ive never heard of issues with using vpns, hell there are vpns services that claim to help ping. Its not bannable.
