Tails OS with a VPN installed on the WiFi router

I understand about tails OS enough to not mess with it’s default network config. But i want to hide my connection to Tor from my ISP. Best way i can think of doing that is installing a VPN on my WiFi router and connecting to that. I would like to know If i’m missing anything or if it’s a bad idea. If you guys can help, that would be great…

You can use Bridges for that

Hiding your connection to Tor from your ISP is better done with bridges in Tails. See Tails - Connecting to the Tor network.

That works. Your tor traffic will begin at the vpn endpoint, so won’t lose any security from tor.

Running tor on your router and a vpn on your machine would be the dumb dumb config.
