I used the TunnelBear App on my phone which is free, and made my location in Canada, that made me able to sign in to snap again.
Important update: If you turn off TunnelBear while on The Marvel snap app you will stay connected. Since TunnelBear has a limited amount of data you can use each month, make sure to turn it off after you log in to save that.
And you only need a VPN to bypass the block when the game opens. After that you can disconnect and play normally.
I discovered that because I’m using TunnelBear, which has a free tier that lets you choose the country but it has a data cap, so i tried to disconnecting to see what would happen.
I’ve been playing for an hour now with no problems other than the dumb message pops up when I toggle between apps, but it doesn’t log me out and I’m still playing and chatting with alliance mates like normal.
I got proton and am playing from Japan and it works
Are there any issues though with using VPN with Steam and making purchases? I know they have banned some accounts for using VPN and purchases to get around pricing but not sure if they would resort to doing that here.

I could do use a VPN to play but honestly, it’s good for me to delete the app. I’ve spent far too much money on this game and I learned a very expensive lesson the hard way.
This! You can get a free trial on many VPN services, you can likely do this for a solid month and not pay and still play until they resolve this.
The question is will they award American players with some “sorry” gift. If that’s the case will we miss out on said gift because we haven’t stopped playing lol ?
