I usually use the Netherlands server so I can watch my Dutch series but now it doesn’t work anymore even though I’m connected. The website detects I’m out of the country. Any suggestions?
Try clearing cache of the website and try again.
Check this list of supported streaming services: Streaming guide for new Proton VPN users | Proton VPN
If it is on the list and not working, report it to support so that they can get it fixed.
If it is not on the list and not working then put in a request for it to be added.
Tried clearing the cache and cookies and restarting my browser but nothing worked till I flushed my dns.
Was a pretty easy fix following the steps here.
OP, clear your cache and try another VPN server.
Tried clearing cache still doesn’t work…
How do you put in a request?
Websites usually don’t work on vpn. For example - I have disney+ India subscription but I live in Europe. Disney+ india website doesn’t work even if I connect to secure core or not. Only the android application works. Somehow disney improved their vpn recognition on their website. When I brought my laptop from India to Europe, the website worked on vpn for maybe 2-3 days but stopped working thereafter. That’s why if you have some kind of subscription in Netherlands, I would suggest to use the application.
I saw from one of your other comments that you’re using the free version? Support for streaming on sites that would otherwise block VPNs is a paid service, since that goes a bit beyond the “privacy and anti-censorship for all” purpose of Proton VPN Free.
Report the non working servers to the team please.
That said, I’d not suggest using secure core to stream.
I used it consistently for the past 5 years but the last year it just stopped working I think it has to do with the rebrand because the whole app looks a bit different. On pc and iPhone. Before that I used Cyberghost for a few years but after they started making it (pay only) I had to stop using it.
Can y’all recommend a free VPN that works the same as Proton? I can’t afford to pay unfortunately.
