It’s odd. After install my computer keeps getting blue screen on death.
I can’t solve it without removing the vpn off my computer.

Has absolutely nothing to do with the VPN.
My pc gets blue screen of death
Which Operating System do you use?
To add. I am using windows 10
I have the latest updates.
However of all the things updated. My bios is the oldest and I can’t get it updated or know how to.
I have tried YouTube’s suggestion for a lot of self fixes.
Memory defrag.
Malware scan.
Scandsk or what ever it is to scan my system for errors and fix it.
Barely any error. My pc is 8 years old so I am guessing this could be the case.
After removing the VPN and the browser version. My PC operated better.
I wish I was making it up but this is actually what’s happening and I have no freaking idea why.
If you could take a picture of the error that the blue screen is displaying and post it here, that would go a long way as far as troubleshooting it.
Well after removing it my pc hasn’t gotten a blue screen?
Which OS uses blue screens when it panics?
Hello. I use windows 10. I have used YouTube’s suggestion for everything. Such as defrag, memory flash off, scandsk etc. I still get it. After the removal my PC has gotten better.
i would use the restore-recovery option if you have it to a date before the installation. perhaps even a few months and then reinstall again. if you still have the issue, then i would completely “reset/fresh-install” windows 10. you could have some sort of malware on your computer so backup only what you really need and leave everything else to nuke it. good luck.
Which OS uses blue screens when it panics?
I think it’s best the OP answers the question instead of we guessing. Who knows, it might be an OS other the usual suspect…
I use windows 10.
Do you use the 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 10?
Mullvad VPN only works on the 64 bit version of Windows 10/11.
I’m suspecting a malware deep in my system. Which I’m afraid of. Got me some parts for a new pc yesterday after getting the blue screen. It’s time for an upgrade regardless. Then I can use the the vpn on my new pc.
Can you try updating the drivers for your network card? This thread seems to be pertinent.
Everything is good. Got a core i7 ultra and windows 11 pro. Things are working smooth. It’s probably just an old PC. I’m wondering should I keep Bitdefender vpn active ? Or move and use mullvadpvn only?
Agreed about it being deep in the system. Just be mindful as you backup anything from your old PC to your new PC. You don’t want to carry over whatever it is into your new rig.
Interesting. Let me try updating my network driver to see if it makes a difference. Will get back to you tomorrow.
u/Phatique did you get a resolution to this?
Hello. There isn’t any atm. I think it comes down to to the bios(which is the hardest for me to update) rest is updated. I have uninstalled the vpn and my computer works.
My new pc is coming home next week. Will set it up and run the vpn.
Update. Got a new pc and the vpn works beautifully. Smooth as butter.
