I had it green for a while, even. Removing things from the internet that might interfere and cleaning up some old folders now hoping for better overall performance, but the node was never even yellow before.
Hey felow myst node runner.
What operating system is your Mysterium Node running on?
I would highly advise you to NEVER delete any files associated with the “mysterium” “myst” or “mysterium-node” etc.
As it might cause overall malfunction fo your mysterium node.
Therefore lead to the “poor quality” status in your Node UI or at the myst nodes page.
Did something else change with your computer or network.
Make sure you still have the port forwarding rule on your router of 10000:60000 UDP ports pointed at your local mysterium-node server IP.
As this makes your node labeled as : “NAT: Open” in the UI. And makes your node accesible and reachable to to ALL mysterium users.
Also make sure to have enabled all Mysterium node buttons (Green) in your local webpage UI
Public (Green ON) switch
B2B (Green ON) switch
And all other types listed at the bottom of your local Node UI page switched on with the green color.
This allows ALL mysterium VPN customers to use your node.
Also make sure your public IP is still correct and working and being accesible from the internet and your router is not malfunctioning and other devices on your network can connect to internet without issues.
It’s also preferable to have your Mysterium node server or computer connected to the network with RJ45 CAT cable. This lowers your internet latency to the as minimum as possible. And allows your Mysterium node to use the full bandwidth (speed of your internet connection)
LAST THING! when you open up mystnodes website and see your node in the list extend the view by clicking at the “ship” sign next to your mysterium node ID or name and there should appear button named as “test connection” or “test node” and this forces a Mysterium Node authority server to connect to your Mysterium node to test the connectivity. If your node is working as it should and then marks the node as following state if it’s red yellow or green (fully functional and accessible)
ALSO MIGHT help switching all the buttons at the bottom of local myst UI webpage on and off if it and then wait about 1 hour or 30 minutes before your node connectivity will be verified.
If this didn’t help try to restart your the computer or server or virtualmachine where is your Mysterium Node running. Or just restart the mysterium-node service itself. That might be enough in most cases to just entirely reload the mysterium node software.
But generally restarting the whole server is better and more precise. As it restarts all your services and programs on your computer and entirely power cycle the server.
A smaller range of 50000 - 50100 UDP port range will be enough for your node to receive incomming connections. What is your node ID?
Thank you for fast response!
I get internal server error when I test the node. I deleted and made a new one, same issue.
That’s true but Mysterium reccomends UDP port range of 10000:60000 for a reason.
More ports he allows and have accesible more users he gets therfore more money (I think)
That’s actually pretty common error in the node UI.

Are you sure you are entering right IP address of the mysterium node webpage and port?
-
Have you tried to delete lifetime cookies and website data in your browser that you are accesing your mysterium node UI from? You can also try to access Mysterium Node webpage on the computer or server it’s running on if it has GUI. Or access mysterium node UI from a different computer or use different web browser

If nothing above seems to help. You have three more options…
First: Try to reinstall your entire operating system that your mysterium node is running on.
Second: Try to install different version or type of operating system on your computer or server where u are running mysterium node. Eg. Switch from Windows to Linux or vice-versa. Or different linux distro like from Debian to Ubuntu. Or switch to newer operating system version or vice-versa downgrade to a little older version ( i do not reccomnd) but everything might potentially help.
Third: Install Mysterium node on completely different computer or server.
Eg. Switch to different Server or Computer, Laptop.
Remember IT is about constantly facing some isssues or random malfunctions every piece of software and hardware is like a pack of cards. That can unexpectedly fall down by some outside presure like wind or tornado just like the americas card board houses.
Do not give up every Euro or Dollar counts! And Mysterium Node is actually currently one of the best or the best VPN for Crypto, Money software, that makes most (speaking from my personal experience. And gets most connections. As the whole project maintains solid group of users and hosts.
Mysterium Nodes make much more! Than some Proxy apps like Honeygain or Packetstream.
I generally believe in diversity is the key to maintain sufficient and reliable income also to make the most so I’m running everything i can. But I do really try to provide the best service possible. And max. Utilize my rented IP addresses from my currently Fiber optic shared 1Gbps ISP.
But lately i really invested quite a solid amount of money into upgrading my current passive income apps hardware and transfered all Apps inclue Mysterium nodes to IBM x3650 M4 2U rack servers with 124 GBs of RAM and 2.5" SSD drives. I got those servers pretty cheap of Ebay.
I reccomend you to check out some server offers on ebay! There’s alot of interesting cheap, and also more pricey offers of use/refurbished servers, rack servers and tower servers also.
If you have a rack rack servers are most space efficient and cosmetical solution.
But tower servers can also do the job as good as the rack servers if they also contain ECC RAM which is crucial for max. Uptime, app stability, and data safety.
THE BETTER SERVICE YOU PROVIDE THE MORE YOU GET PAID.
Time is money, when you spend time with installing/configuring mysterium or simmilar project it will really pay off. And earn passively further as long as it’s online up and running. Even when you sleep! that sounds great right!
I wish my income would be once full only from simmilar project. And i could spend my time with some other thing while still making enough to fill my bank account with sufficient amount to monthly cover all the bills.
Forgot to mention.
If you have access to multiple public IP addresses from your ISP (IP addresses that are accessible from internet) that you can forward ports to if you use some sort of NAT.
I do reccomend you to utilize Virtualization technology.
I use Hyper-V on my Windows Servers. And run Multiple Ubuntu 24 LTS servers on a Single physical rack server that are running mysterium nodes. Each virtual machine has it’s own Public IP address and runs only one Mysterium node each!
Also the big adventage of rack servers is the redundant power supply technology.
Rack servers usually come in default with two power supplies.
When one of them fails the servers keep running uninterrupted and get the power from the second power supplies.
I use it that each power supply of every rack server i run is connected to different UPS.
I have currently two bigger UPSs. And every server is connected to both at the same time. So even when i haven’t developed some redundant internet solution i at least have redundant power solution.
And in case when the power outage is too long that UPSs can’t cover the entire time the power goes out. Usually when UPSs start running out of batter they notify you by beeping or software allert if they have USB port etc. you can setup management software and email alerts and simmilar.
And when the power is out and servers are running on UPS. You can start for example some cheap gasoline power generator and connect your UPSs to it so it starts charging your UPSs. And switch the power distribution to servers from it’s batter to the power generator power.
And this way you can even cover pretty unlimited long power outages without ever having to shut down all the servers and infrastracture and then comlicated turn it back on or even worst let the servers to “hard shutdown” when the power goes out if they are not backuped with UPSs this way you can damage either the server itself or the operating system and after your power goes back on server may not boot back on at all.as some data may be corrupted or missing.
