Logging me out of websites constantly

Hi there, I recently bought the pc utility and security tools with avast and laplink software bundle from Humble Bundle, and have installed and activated all of the Avast programs and subscriptions that came with it, which is great as hopefully it should be keeping my computer safe.

I was originally just using Avast One, and working off of that, but I have always like having a cleaning tool at the very least on my computer.

The issue I’m having is that one of the programs is logging me out of some websites, and I’m pretty sure its Avast as this has only been happening since yesterday when I installed them all, and its happening on multiple websites. I’ve tried flicking through to see if I can figure out what is causing it, but I’m really unsure what it could be, or even how to pinpoint the issue without just turning random settings on and off.

Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Windows version - Windows 10 Home 22H2
  • Avast edition - Premium Security, SecureLine VPN, Cleanup Premium, AntiTrack, Driver Updater, and Breachguard
  • When the problem first happened, and when it repeats, what triggers it - Mentioned above
  • Any steps you already took to try fixing the problem - Mentioned above
  • Any recent changes to your system, its configuration, or your network - Mentioned above

What browser are you using? I’m using Chrome and Avast Free AV and am not experiencing this issue.

I’m going to assume it’s the Avast AntiTrack as one of it’s features is automatically deleting cookies to stop you from being tracked.

A lot of websites will use cookies to keep track of your login status, and as such the cookie being deleted will mean you are logged out.

Avast AntiTrack has an allowed websites option. Just add the websites you want it to ignore and the problem should hopefully be resolved.

This seems to have solved it. Thank you!

So I don’t have AntiTrack installed but I have the same issue. Any ideas? It doesn’t HAVE to be Avast but I would think it is. I hve AntiVirus Premium, SecureLine VPN, Driver Updater, Cleanup Premium and Battery Saver.

Maybe really is avast, since I have the same problem and the one thing we all have in common here aside the issue itself, is avast!
