Early 2001 Sum41 supporter here, been following since Half hour of power, here’s my take on it:
I like it very much.
It’s a good nostalgic fast paced punk pop song. (The hell song tempo) Kinda reminescent of Underclass Hero and it’s great bonus tracks. Its not trying to be metal at all, it’s more pop punk than any recent Sum41 material. And it’s a lot of fun.
Not dark. It’s in the vein of No Apologies, Take a Look at Yourself, Underclass Hero, Noots.
The chorus is powerfull but ne anthemic and very 2003/2004´s era.
The mastering is by Ted Jensen so it’s really solid. The lyrics are fun and a good throwback. It’s kind of a blend of All Killer No Filler - DTLI and Underclass.
I would rate the song a solid 8 out of 10 as it feels super nice to have a pop punk anthemic Sum41 song again. And I’m sure it’s gonna be a great live moment.

The mastering here is a little wonky on the verses. Everything kinda mushes together & leads to both Deryck’s voice & the guitars getting lost in one another. But everything else about this is very strong, especially that CHORUS.
This felt very much like a mix of all three pop-punk soundings from the band too, and you can feel Tom’s influence here too.

Pretty solid song, though the timing of how he says “so long” really clashes with the drum fill at the end of the chorus, and the woah-oh part is kinda cringe
