Bitdefender for me because it has the best 10 device plan.
Bitdefender gets pretty good reviews people are a little cautious about Kaspersky since the whole Russia thing its up to you if you care about that though
Do what I did, use the trial period on both and decide which one you like better. Both are great but I prefer Kaspersky
I’m personally a fan of bitdefender, I use it myself. It is highly rated. Kaspersky is also rather high rated, but I don’t think it is as good as bitdefender.
An alternative is Malwarebytes, but some don’t like it. Personally it’s my go to after bitdefender.
Might be a little late comment but, Kaspersky’s behavioral protection/detection and on-time ransomware blocking is better than Bitdefender’s. The pricing is not really necessary to talk about here so I’ll just leap forward to the necessary topics.
It is more than dumb to just depend and rely on an AV by just looking at it’s detection results after a Scan-test, since Kaspersky’s system watcher and Bitdefender’s shield is a 2nd wall for protection if the specific malware somehow managed to go unnoticed in a scan. From 2024 results (without bullshit) Kaspersky has a slightly better rate, like a %0.7. Websites like cybernews and pcmag may tell you otherwise since their sponsored products have enslaved them in the past time and now they’re bragging about how Norton and TotalAv is somehow the best.
I must also add this; Both Bitdefender and Kaspersky is ENOUGH for any system, even if you deal with alot of suspicious and unknown programs, both AV’s will provide you security. I have used both products (don’t ask how) for around 9 months and put them into custom-made malware tests, surely Kaspersky had a better rate at detection but Bitdefender easily terminated processes of these malware if any of them were tried to be open, so it’s more like a draw here.
Web protection, both are almost the same, nothing much to talk about it unnecessarily but Kaspersky could have added an option “Continue to website anyway” every time a website was blocked by PHISHING.
Both product’s VPN’s slow down your network as hell, i won’t recommend them if you have an average network download speed of %30-90. Other than speed, they fairly secure your connection without any IP leaks.
One thing important though, Kaspersky offers a decryption option after/upon ransomware detection while Bitdefender asks for files to be saved to somewhere in case your original files get encrypted or corrupted. Both are optional and good but on ransomware protection, Bitdefender takes a little bit time to terminate and block the ransomware before it encrypts your files, resulting in a very few of your files to end up being either damaged or corrupted.
Lastly, on behavioral protection, Kaspersky had come out on top on blocking and recognizing the malicious processes. I’ve collected some infamous malwares to use in the test (including fileless malwares and Info stealers along with other trojans) and, Bitdefender managed to block and detect around %94 of the samples while Kaspersky did around %98. These rates might be incorrect since the application i used to run all these samples one by one cannot consider a blocking of malware after around 5 seconds, leaving the pro active detection at a low rate.
If you ask me, go with Kaspersky. If you have political issues, just go for Bitdefender for the best 2nd option.
Bitdefender for sure
Used Bitdefender for couple of years, switched to Kaspersky a month ago. They’re both good, for me it seems like Kaspersky is a little bit lighter on the system, but to be honest - I see no special difference.
Kaspersky is generally better than Bitdefender in terms of detection ability but both are close. Kaspersky is also less intrusive in terms of marketing and trying to see you other products like Bitdefender does.
Either AV will do you fine but I prefer Kaspersky and have been using it for years
I have been using Kaspersky for some time and it has my recommendation. It is no intrusive, very user friendly and keep my pc safe without creating impact in the resources. I would say that you should give it a try, believe me, you won’t even notice that is running. Good luck.
I’ve been using Kapersky for a few years and decided to cancel for reasons, but try doing that on My Kapersky and you can forget about it. You have to go through several steps to do it. Drives me nuts.

Don’t listen to r/NutellaGuy_AU, multiple independent testing labs that provide factual results all rank Bitdefender better at detection than Kaspersky. He’s Russian shill on this subreddit pushing false information.
