I have connect on demand disabled on iOS... so why does PIA VPN auto connect every time I connect to WiFi?

This is pissing me off, frens. I don’t know how to stop it from doing this. It’s messing with my ability to connect to my work wifi.

I straight up logged out because I was having the same issue. Nonstop auto connecting was making me want to uninstall… At least you got a reply. My post from a few days ago about this exact problem listened to chirping crickets.

Same issues here. PIA support is more than useless now. Will be cancelling my subscription once it’s up.

I apologize for the inconvenience of this issue. We have recently rolled out a fix for this issue in the latest version of our VPN client, 3.8.3. Ensure you update your client to resolve this issue and please let us know if it persists!

You should be able to use the PIA client on public WiFi as long as the Network admin of said WiFi has not blocked VPN connections. To take a closer look into what you are experiencing, please submit a ticket through our Helpdesk to our support team so we can assist you with this matter.

Why is this still an issue 4 years later?
