How to easily change to specific servers?

SOLVED. The little magnification icon in upper right corner has a search feature to find specific servers.

I want to change between two or three different specific us servers. However I find it difficult to perform this. For example lets say I have setup NordVPN to auto connect to us server #2043 and in order to change to another server, say #1954 I have to perform the following tedious steps:

  1. Right click nordvpn icon in taskbar and, if we’re VERY lucky, the server I want will be listed amongst a few others, from a quick select list. However as it turns out I have bad luck everytime because the desired server is never listed here for some reason.
  2. So I have proceed to select “open app”
  3. scroll all the way down to United States.
  4. click on the three small dots (…)
  5. click on dropdown menu next to “server”
  6. scroll down through the list of servers until I find #1954.

Step 6 is the most terrible and tedious part since the list is not ordered from lowest to highest server number, but instead from lowest to highest load. This means that it is impossible to know exactly where in the list #2043 might be located.

This procedure is really annoying. Is there not some simple and easy way to quickly change to a specific server?

There is a search bar within all of Nord’s apps. Simply enter a number of the server you want to connect. Alternatively, you can add any server to your favorites for quick access by clicking on a small heart shaped icon next to it

put the servers you want in the favourite list with the heart icon

ok great. It is the little magnify glass icon in the upper right corner. I had actually looked for a search bar, so somehow the magnify icon must not have prompt me to think it as a way to search servers. Or maybe I intuitively expected such a search feature to be located down in the bottom where you choose servers, idk. this solves it anyway. Thanks!

Wow, I completely missed this! Thanks! I’ve unfav’d a few times and tried to manually find it in lists before.

Thanks, but that only works when you have already found the server the first time. How do I easily find the server the first time? Afaict that is not possible and I am doomed to spend the next 10 minutes scrolling through almost the entire list until I find it.

i’m not trying to nitpick here, just want to make sure i understand the problem:

you got a server you want to connect to. you now exactly which one is it? say, japan 4565453. then open the app, type the number in the searchbar, and then you can favourite ir.

you don’t have a specific server, you just want a server that works? then you have to randomly try to connect. it’s a hit and miss, but nord has a ton of servers, so you will find a good one sooner or later

i can’t find the magnify glass icon, where is it? I’m using nordvpn on android.

Good question, I only have windows pc and ios phone. On my iphone I can pull up the panel in the bottom and there will be a “Search” entry there next to a maginfying icon.
