Hosting a dedicated server without portfoward using radminVPN

First of all, sorry for my bad english, I am not a native speaker.

Me and my friends have found a way to host a dedicated server using radminVPN. you do not need portforward for this.

  1. Start your server using steamcmd
  2. join your friend’s radminVPN
  3. Use this ip address from vpn

It looks like this

  1. add “:8211” to the end of the ip address (for example 12.345.678.123:8221)

  2. Your friends can use the ip above to join your server

This works like a charm for me so i hope it works for you guys too :wink:

We are using this method and my friend cannot connect did you do any extra steps when setting up steamcmd server?

Is there any way to make it so my friends can run the same IP through their Radmin so that I don’t need to my PC running if they want to play?

Nah just you. I’ve had lag that would go up to 280 pin.g but average pin hovers around 120 199 ping. I think it’s due to my cpu is slow. Buts it’s amazing what you can run. A server on. I had 8 people online at a time on a dual core a6 8750e and cpu. I dont reccmomend it. Is suggest a quad core CPU that has base clock above 3 ghz. And I’ve been using radmin vpn to use it on

nope, the one hosting the server has to keep his pc running. Because the server is getting hosted by your pc, they just use the vpn so they can join that server.
