Hey guys just wanted to ask how popular the game is on the Asia server and if it is possilbe to play there with a vpn can anyone help me out and share some experiences ?

I play from Australia and use GearUP booster to get 140 ping to Asia server. Without it, I’d get 280 ping which is pretty bad. I’ve tried pretty much all VPNs and that one is the best (for games/ER at least).
2nd best is probably Mudfish because it’s very very cheap and I get 165 ping with it. Downside is it occasionally (5% of the time) gets packet loss and I DC from the game. Don’t know if that still happens now though, haven’t used Mudfish ever since I switched to GearUP.
On Asia server, game is popular enough that I can find games quickly between 3pm all the way to 4am KR time (both ranked + normal games).
If you want to play with VPN then make sure to turn the VPN on BEFORE you open the game.
Your ping isn’t going to go down from using a VPN and you’re completely free to just queue on Korea at any time of the day.
VPNs definitely make the high ping more bearable. I did it once a while back when I played KR squads from time to time
do you feel the ping alot ? or is it ok on asia
i just tried with exitlag and my ping doesnt change ingame even tho exit lag says it should any ideas ?
You get used to it after a couple of games. I main the most combo-intensive characters Alex/shoichi/haze and don’t have any problems hitting Gold every season for the seasonal skin. Ping hinders you a lot less in this game compared to games like LoL because Flash doesn’t exist. Spell cast times in this game are also slow enough that I can still reactively parry and dodge stuff on 140 ping.
Some VPNs don’t change the ping number in the server selection screen but ingame they do reduce the ping, so check ingame too. What region are you playing from? If your internet is already good then VPNs might not help at all.
That uu game booster worked pretty decent when I played with it during their erbs partnership.
I thought it was funny it took off 20 to Asia from Louisville but took off 40 to na east smite.

Asia is the only server that has players. The rest of the regions are dead without coordinating pretty much.
playing from EU / Germany and my ping without vpn on asia would be 290 with vpn 160 but sadly even ingame no changes
