Cisco Secure Client Umbrella - VPN core needed?

Howdy,

Just wanted confirmation with what I think I am reading.

We have started testing the migration from the Cisco Umbrella Roaming Client to the Cisco Secure Client. From what I can see the AnyConnect VPN module (cisco-secure-client-win-5.0.05040-core-vpn-predeploy-k9.msi) is a required base to be able to then install the Umbrella module.

Is that right?

Yes. If you’re deploying with anything other than the cloud Cisco Secure Client, you can hid the VPN core gui from users.

Also wondering if the auto update works as usual with the securex or cloud package?

I want to deploy cisco secure client and auto update once a new version is out.

A pre-built umbrella only package and module info are available from the umbrella dashboard now. Deploy > identity > roaming computer > top right corner download icon

Thanks. I have it hidden, just wanted to double check that it is indeed required.

Umbrella module needs to be on this.

That download contains all of the modules btw (vpn, dart, ise, umbrella, etc).
