Business VPN Setup for Remote Access and Torrenting Concerns?

Hey everyone, I’m helping a small business set up a secure way for their team to access company resources remotely. They’re currently using basic tools like RDP, but I’m wondering if a VPN would be a better solution for both security and ease of use. On top of that, a few employees occasionally need to download large files, and torrenting has come up as an option, though I’m not sure how that fits into a business VPN setup.

How do you handle remote access for small teams? And if torrenting is part of the equation, how do you balance security with functionality? Would love to hear your thoughts

Have them look at Tailscale. There’s a Mullvad VPN plugin you can use for torrenting. Torrenting by itself isn’t illegal, just what you might download could violate copyright laws.

for security

Yes.

and ease of use

No.

How do you handle remote access for small teams?

They VPN in and work over RDP.

And if torrenting is part of the equation

It isn’t.
