i am thinking of getting a VPN so I can torrent more safely in the past I haven’t used one but want to start what is a good one for under $10 CAD or around there here are the ones I tried
ultra VPN: I like it but prob not going back cuz of a lack of a monthly option
Nord VPN: tried but did not like it, and refused to give my money back I only used it for one week. The issues I found were slow browsing and slow downloads
I use Mullvad and I haven’t had any issues.
Nord was fast about giving me money back. It didn’t work for my purpose. I’m on Proton VPN it works. At $9.99 usd you’d have to sign up for more than a month to hit your price target. Happy hunting.
TorGuard has servers in Canada, can be had cheap, and port forwarding.
if you are only using torrent sides rather than making your own torrents then any vpn will do without portt forwards or tunnel or kill switch etc. but if you do in the future and configure your network router so you can post torrents rather than just seed someone elses then you will need the above.
I have used Torguard VPN service for several years at $50 a year? VPN services are getting cheaper as more people are using them. I would check out Torguard as they have great customer service, at least for the very few times I have used it.
port forwarding could be useful as i do like to run the odd Minecraft server
i just got air VPN and i am stuck in a reconnecting and disconnecting loop have you had this
does it have any other features besides the basic VPN
not a big deal if not
what is the point of port forwarding never used it for torrents
It makes you discoverable. Will generally increase upload amount which is what is needed on private trackers. If your downloading off public’s no a big deal.
i never used port forwarding why is it useful
Me neither, but for RDP it is required.
how come without port forwarding in the past I was still able to get torrents still also do you got any websites you recommend not asking for links just the name of the sites
