Best Free VPN for 2024?

Looking for a reliable, free VPN that won’t compromise my security or speed. I’ve been considering TunnelBear, Opera VPN, Hotspot Shield, Windscribe, and ProtonVPN.

What are the recommendations? Are any of these top-notch options? I’m particularly interested in VPNs that are good for torrenting and iPhone users.

Any tips or warnings about free VPNs? I’ve heard mixed things about data privacy and security.

If you’re not paying for the product, you are the product. Never use a free VPN. The service is slow, capped and they might include malware.

I chose Proton VPN due to their advanced features and optimized streaming servers. You can get the free trial here: https://protonvpn.com/l/free-trial

Just use McAfee VPN - I think they have the best VPN service right now.

The best thing about it is that you also get antivirus software free along with the VPN. Check this deal: https://www.mcafee.com/en-ca/ipz/

I would honestly recommend you to avoid free VPNs. I’ve been using this VPN for the last few months, and the quality is really good.

It’s a no-brainer to try for $2.14 per month, especially now with huge 82% off discount.

Just make sure to get them on a discount on this page where you can get it for 3 months free too: https://www.purevpn.com/3-months-free/

A lot of free options - but I don’t think free VPN is any good.

Vpn is not free otherwise it would come preinstalled on everypc.

Your privacy and port forward are important enough to pay the small amount.

In the market for a free VPN in 2024? Here’s a breakdown to help you choose!

For unrestricted data usage, consider Surfshark’s free trial (not a permanent free option) or Windscribe’s generous 10GB monthly allowance. TunnelBear and Windscribe also boast a diverse server network for accessing geo-restricted content. If speed is your priority, Hotspot Shield offers impressive download speeds (but with limited access time and ads).

Looking for strong privacy features? ProtonVPN prioritizes this but has limited server locations and restricts free accounts to one device. Hide.me offers a good balance with a 10GB data limit and decent server coverage, though connections are limited in the free tier.

Need to connect multiple devices? Surfshark (trial), Windscribe, Hotspot Shield, and Hola VPN allow this. However, Hola utilizes a peer-to-peer network which can impact both speed and security. Keep in mind that free VPNs often come with limitations. Consider your needs (data usage, privacy, speed, etc.) and explore paid options for more robust protection if necessary.

If you want to safely Torrent go with paid VPN.Unless your country has lax rules and pirating isn’t a huge deal then maybe you can try out the free VPN.But keep in mind free VPNs have their limitations and they will definitely sell your data.

Weird that OP would post this just an hour after advocating for NordVPN in another post and saying what a great deal it was and how “exquisite” the service is.

If something is free you are the product. You cant put Reliable, Free, Security and Speed in the same sentence when it comes to VPN.

iPhone users and VPNs? That’s like putting a Ferrari in a parking garage.

Free VPNs are a total disaster… just wait until you’re bombarded with non-stop ads.

If you aren’t paying with your wallet, you’re paying with your data… which is the exact opposite reason of why we use VPNs

I am from asian and foreign currency is 5 or 6 times more expensive and it’s basically banned. So free VPN is the easiest option. And i think VPN r mostly used in place like asian and making VPN paid go against it’s own purpose.

And being paid doesn’t made it safe. Being regulated does. And I would have more bias on something advertising it as safe with 1$ then a free one.

I think VPN is a human right like the internet and they still cheap cause they know we have power to choose a free VPN.

Use rise up vpn for free, it’s fast when I started using it but I encourage u to find more free ones. U can also made ur own vpn from guides on yt and stuff.

(But all that said thinking VPN can protect ur data is like believing in tooth fairies. If the app forced u for Google login, they totally selling ur data. I just use it to bypass services. If u wanna be safe find something that doesn’t require login. Even then they might get ur data. If u wanna be super safe never use a Google account on the device lmao.)

Bro or non-bro, just go for a paid VPN. They’ve got free trials, so you can test them out first. I’d personally recommend SurfShark or NordVPN best speeds, solid security, and perfect for torrenting. Plus, they work great with the iphone.

Free VPN companies also could also sell your data to advertise and the free ones are probably super slow

Your privacy and port forward are important enough to pay the small amount

I’m still trying to figure out if free VPNs are like those too good to be true deals. Are they really free, or is there a hidden catch?

I’ve used NordVPN for streaming and it works great. However, it’s a paid VPN.
