I’ve been having this issue where vpn fusion automatically adds my static ip devices (one being the dns server) to the exclude list on every router reboot. I’ve tried everything to keep these two devices from getting added to the exclude list, yet power goes out boom have to unselect two devices once again…… any ideas?
Running asus rt-be86u as primary & two et8s as nodes. Photos are of lan settings & what happens after a reboot I have to re enable those two devices.
All advice is beyond appreciated
Can you assign addresses outside your pool range? You will also need to change your pool range first, ie to 192.168.0.250 and set new static addresses to 192.168.0.251 and 252
Edit: added details
Thank you for the time to help. Honestly, this might work out well. I have not tried changing my pool from default, I will most definitely go for it. My only question is, why the hell would vpn fusion still disable devices static in the same pool of ips.?… I mean kinda odd
Ive just looked at your screenshots again. You have vpn fusion enabled, but you don’t have any profiles added to it, therfore you’re not connected to any vpn. Why do you think vpn fusion excludes your manually assigned static addresses? And excludes from what?
What i see is your two manuall static IPs are connected to the Internet via default connection, which is your isp
Ohhh so this “default” fusion profile is actually my issue. How do I disable this…… should I just disable on all devices? I did create a fusion setup in the past yet I never used it and stopped using it.
Ended up installing asus merlin… fixed all the issues. Thank you
That’s what I run my router on. Good choice
You are wise for that
I’ve been messing with this router since last November trying to get it to “work” yup…. You live and learn lmao.
Thank you again!
