I’m visiting Russia shortly and will be there for quite some time, it would be nice if I can still access some social media websites during my downtime but I recently read somewhere that Russia has blocked many VPN providers, are there any good ones that still work? Thanks for your help <3

Proton in Wireguard mode works for now.
Another good option would be to set up VPN server at home and connect to it.
I’m using Windscribe on my phone. If you give them your email you get 10Gb per month for free, which is more than enough for me

In general, VPN is still alive, but good services like ProtonVPN don’t work. 1.1.1.1 seems to be still alive, I wanted to try ADGuard VPN myself, but I understand from the comments that it’s better not to. Still, I advise you to deploy your WireGuard…

Using a VPN to access blocked is illegal in Russia. You might end up in prison for that, especially as a foreigner.

As I know it is absolutely legal, government could have claims to VPNs, not to their users. Also never heard about people who had any problems because of that.
