Easy, anything is better than McAfee. Kaspersky, Bitdefender, ESET, F-Secure, Malwarebytes, or Windows Defender is you want something free.

Literally anyone. Uninstall that bloatware. Even windwos defender works better. McAfee is below standard in any category but to make up for it, its quite slow too.

Literally all Antiviruses except TotalAV and maybe Norton, and some unknown, unpopular ones. Best are Bitdefender and Kaspersky.

Absolutely every other anti virus mcafee is definitely number 1 to stay the fuck away from then 2 is nortan either way if i was you id be changing all your passwords and nuking the living fuck out of your hdd/ssd

Ok just looking at the comments and oh my lord… this is really bad. Why did I even sign up for the 30 day free sub in the first place. And the majority of the comments here say Norton isnt good either. I’ve been thinking about Windows Defender and Bit-defender as well. ik that bit-defender isn’t free but is Windows Defender free? Yes. Pretty much anything is better than McAfee. Even nothing is better than McAfee. But to seriously answer your question, the built in Windows Defender is perfectly fine for most purposes.
Mcafee consistently wins awards and in my 30+ years of being online it has served me well. Far better than Norton and AVG etc. Kaspersky was rated too but it’s Russian and a lot depends on how you feel about that. Windows Defender is fine for 80% of people but the other 20% need something like Mcafee.

I agree with about 90% of whay you said minus nortan you should do some research into it and how your passwords have been leaked if you use nortan they have several yearly database breaches its almost like you can name the dates they announce it its just as bad as mcaffe nortan just has way more spywear on it than mcaffe dose
Can’t get malware if your computer no longer meets the minimum requirements to run malware
